OMG I had the most AMAZING DAY.
Empowerment is my number one passion. Empowering people to take control of their destiny is what gets me up in the morning and keeps me up at night. Fitness is the business I am in, but everyone who knows me knows that my passion is the personal growth and FREEDOM that comes through strategic leadership in business. I want you to know that your life is 100% YOURS!
Today I sat giddy with excitement, on the edge of my seat, as I was explained what my role would be for the day with these incredible children. Then was fully immersed in 85 5th graders, wondered for a second if I was still excited, and then got excited again. I got to help influence, educate and inspire budding entrepreneurs through real life hands on work. I got to fully connect with 5 amazing children with HUGE DREAMS and use my experience to make their world just a little brighter, and I got to do this for three reasons:
1) Because I’m a successful business owner: I can say that after 3 years in business I have made it past the dreaded “most small businesses fail in the first 2 years” point. I can actually say that I run a company, manage a sales force, develop trainings, make tough decisions, decide who to hire, oversee a management team, handle accounting and more. I run a profitable business with no debt! This puts me in a position to actually give this sort of help, to really have a value to these kids, and confidently tell them I believe in them and it is possible.
2) Because I have total freedom of schedule: I never grew up thinking you could just take off time from work and do whatever you wanted. Even when you have a great vacation policy, that you had to put your time in to earn, you still had to ask like 5 people and you only had so much time. I am no longer tied to ANYONE’S schedule but my own. That allows me to decide my own priorities every day. If volunteering to help shape our future minds of America is where I think my time is best spent, so be it!
3) Because I don’t have to worry about money when I take a day off: As far as I’ve always been concerned you work, you make money, end of story. If you take off time you lose money, very simple. Obviously I’ve had jobs with paid time off, but there were always rules and stipulations and you only had so much time before you’d lose pay or have disciplinary action taken. I have worked hard enough that my income doesn’t change when I take time off. I know that I have created a passive income that is there regardless. This allows me to travel at will, spend time with family and not have a SINGLE hesitation when offered a full day of soul nourishing work like I had to day
I had one of the most rewarding, fulfilling, and inspiring days of my life today, because I made the decision 3 years ago to ignore the voices in my head, ignore the naysayers and haters, fight through the fears, and jump in to Team Beachbody Coaching with both feet.
I always say it’s not about the money, it’s about what the money allows you to DO WITH YOUR LIFE. If I live to be 100, I’ll only have 36,500 days on this earth. I can proudly say, I won’t EVER have to waste another one of them. I so honestly wish YOU would join me to be able to say the same.
