Whenever I approach someone about becoming a Beachbody Coach, they almost always have some thoughts about why they might not be ready yet. I thought it might be nice if I made a quick list of signs to look for so you know when you are ready to become a Coach, help change lives, make some extra income, and have a bigger impact on the world.

Here are my 10 Signs that YOU are READY:

1) You forget to eat breakfast, have trouble eating all your healthy calories and it’s a personal victory every time you get in all your water for the day! Good news, you’re a normal human being, and so are coaches We aren’t super human health robots, we need support too! What a better way to remember to drink your water than to have a group of challengers or coaches who you need to remind to drink their water? (I totally just chugged a bunch of water, seemed appropriate) Want creative ideas to get in all your calories? Awesome, we have a team of hundreds of coaches who are there to help you with that, because we all need help with it too! Being part of a team that is going the same direction as you is the way to make sure these things eventually become habits in your daily life.

2) You look like an idiot doing TurboFire, Shaun T makes you cry, the “bottom halves” of Les Mills PUMP bring out your inner sailor, and you punch yourself in the face doing Combat. Well awesome, that means you’ve at least experienced one Beachbody workout at some point, even if it was just the Insanity Fit Test that left you in a puddle on the floor You have at least taken one step toward a healthier you and are willing to look stupid doing it, LOL because lord knows I kicked my stair railing during Combat this morning That means you are ALREADY A LEADER. You may not realize this but the people in your life are watching. Your kids see you pushing play, your sister has it in the back of her head that she’d like to do that some day, that receptionist at work noticed you looked a little more bubbly today (or that you can’t walk today) and you’ve started a ripple effect in the world around you without even meaning to. You officially have more experience with Beachbody than everyone you know and are setting an example. Congrats you’re the resident expert

3)You never finish what you start. You commit to a 60-90 day workout plan and then all of a sudden take a week off because life goes nuts. You have unfinished projects all over the house. You’ve tried 5 “at home businesses and just ended up with a bunch of stuff you don’t need. You may have even stopped bothering to start at this point and just given up on goals at all. Oh yeah, I for sure want you. You’re perfect. You need some direction, some focus, some serious time management education and for the love of god you need to experience the thrill of success! We need to establish your TRUE LIFE PRIORITIES and teach you how to let go of things that don’t serve you, teach you how to say no without guilt and make the most of your potential in the short time you have here on this crazy planet. Our team has education, support, personal development and more, to keep you on track and see you through. It really can be the start of a whole new you, and a whole new way of life, filled with success and accomplishment.

4) You still eat donuts and pizza and wake up hungover. Yep coaches are human, really really human. I screw up all the time. I binge eat when nothing seems in my control, I drink too much on girls day, and sometimes life gets so busy we have no food, or frankly I am just to tired to give a crap, and we order a pizza. Guess what? That’s okay…because when you are a Coach, you have a responsibly to others, so you never let it go too far. Not the way you would on your own. Maybe you’ll put on 5 pounds, but you sure the hell won’t put back on 30. We have a community that is here for you when you slip up, and knows you are human, so we get you back on track, without guilt and shame.

5) No one in your life eats healthy, works out, or supports your goals. There is no way you could be successful without support. Man that would suck I wish I knew how that felt so I could relate. Oh wait… I DO, that’s why I became a coach. Coming from an unhealthy family, hanging out with drunk friends, or having your go-to date activity be eating out are all ways that you are in your own way and have a choice to change. What a better way to stick to your goals than joining a TEAM of people who are learning and changing just like you? You have the opportunity to have a built in support network AND become the healthy influence in your group. What an incredible opportunity! I have seen hundreds of people influence their friends, family, children, co-workers and more, with this simple decision.

6) You have no certifications in nutrition or personal training, hell you’re not even really sure the difference between splenda and stevia and refer to your obliques as the “side bits”. Coaches are NOT here to personal train, make meal plans, or instruct. We are here to motivate, support, encourage and lead by example. It is our job to learn about what people need and find the right Beachbody tool, meal plan, fitness program and support group for them, and then here for the good and bad times of the journey through it all. We LEARN together and build friendships instead of experts.

7) You are not at your “goal weight” and honestly don’t even know what that really is, if it’s possible, or what means to you, you just know you’re not there yet. This is the PERFECT place to be! Don’t wait another second to join. Think about it, who do you want to go to when you just screwed up your diet for the 100th time and skipped 3 weeks of the gym? When you are depressed and feeling like a mess and just need help getting back on track? A crazy fit, seemingly perfect, fitness robot OR a human, that GETS IT? The best part about being a coach is that we are all in this together. I have never met a coach who is “done” transforming and I started coaching when I was still over 200 lbs. It was never about people coming to me for advice, it is about looking for people who might want to come along and support my journey, while I support theirs. Friends working toward a common goal TOGETHER, celebrating the victories and crying together on the hard days. I am so glad I started building my team when I still had 60 lbs to lose, because I honestly believe they are the only reason I have made it this far <3 I am still 20 lbs away and I know I can get their with the support of my team.

8) You’re not a “sales person” and that sounds gross and / or terrifying to you. You don’t have anyone to sell to anyway and you certainly don’t want to “bug” your friends and family. Uh yeah, I am also not a sales person, yet I manage to somehow make a full time income in this business. Think back to any interaction you’ve ever had with me…following my page, being my friend, being in my private support group, joining a challenge or coming to Fit Club … have you ever felt SOLD TO? I bet you never have. Why? Because I am just sharing my life with you, the good, the bad, the ugly. The Victoria’s Secret, Channing Tatum, sweaty workout pics, food I eat and funny pictures galore … but never a “sales pitch”. I am just me, working on me, trying to be better, sharing it with you. This business IS THAT SIMPLE. If you are “bugging” people, you are not doing it right. That is why all of my coaches get a FULL 6 WEEK TRAINING course on Beachbody, sharing your life without selling, time management, personal development and more. There are NEVER sales “quotas” or minimums with Beachbody and we never make you buy anything. Military and spouses, as well as anyone who has ever bought a challenge pack, actually pays NOTHING to sign up.

9) You don’t have any money, and between healthy eating, fitness programs and gas prices, at this rate you probably never will. This is one of the best reasons to join. I started this business with over $20,000 in consumer debt, living paycheck to paycheck, at a job that would maybe give me a few % a year increase if I was lucky. Don’t get me wrong, I had a good job, but the money only went so far. No matter how hard I worked I couldn’t make more money for the time I was putting in. This business doesn’t work that way. The more people you help, the more you make. The best part, your paycheck is only has good as THAT paycheck, but when you build an organization in Beachbody, it pays you forever. You can spend 5 years working at a regular J-O-B and all you’ll have to show is the money you made, plus maybe some retirement saved up. If you worked a Beachbody business for 5 years at that rate, you’d have thousands of dollars a week in 100% PASSIVE income. You’d have an organization you could pass down to your children some day. You’re never going to get less broke unless you change your income tactics drastically. Stop just trying to keep up, and get ahead of it for once!

10) You are way too busy, you barely have time to work on yourself, let alone other people. It sounds to me like you needs some more free time. So when do you honestly think that is going to happen? When you retire? when I get that promotion, when I can work one less job, when I graduate, when the kids get older … ??? NO. That is not how life works and we both know it. You will never get more time, you must make it. What is the BEST way to make more free time? Start working for YOURSELF and give yourself some serious financial freedom. Making a full time income in part time hours AT HOME, in a business that actually makes a difference in the world, is hands down the best way for you to get “less busy”. It’s time for you to stop punching someone else’s clock or not having date night and not taking that family vacation because you just don’t have time do to anything different. You have a choice and you CAN take your life back, your time belongs to YOU.

If you saw yourself in any of the above signs, then YOU ARE READY to become a Beachbody Coach on our incredible team. I started this business at over 200 pounds, terrified of people, self conscious, with no sales skills and no one to support me. I have since given this career exactly 24 months of my life and I have quit my full time job, grown a team of hundreds of coaches, lost an additional 40 pounds, made countless friends, paid off almost $20,000 in consumer debt, won trips, prizes and cash for performance and most of all, secured a lasting future for myself and my eventual family. I have found PASSION, fulfillment, genuine connection, love and gratitude. All that for a start up fee of $39.95! You will have advantages on this team that will accelerate your success and bring you closer to the life or your dreams much faster than I found mine. I know that if you give me a year, I can change your entire life. Contact me today at ambersfitness@gmail.com or join at www.TeamIgnitetheFire.com

It occurred to me last night as I was pinning at midnight, yeah quality use of my time I know, that there is something more to the people in your life who are holding you back than you may realize. I don’t think people want you to fail because they are miserable or jaded or don’t love you. I think it all comes down to fear. Some people don’t want all your dreams to come true because they’ve already realized your dreams don’t really include them. They don’t want you to realize it too; which you’d inevitably do, once you got on the path headed to that dream. Their behavior is based on insecurity yes, but it’s valid.

Now hear me out, you may believe that your dreams do include them. But let’s be honest with ourselves. Do they? Do they include THAT VERSION of them? If they didn’t change a single thing about themselves would they honestly be part of your dreams? I can guarantee the answer would be no. You might not see it now, but you eventually would. As you grew and they didn’t, it would become apparent. The thing is, they’ve already figured that out and it hasn’t even occurred to you.

If you’re not with me on this so far, I came up with four examples as soon as I had this realization. I am sure you will be able to see yourself in at least one of them, and it will make sense.

1) Parents Who Hold Back Their Kids: I want you to think about the families that you know. I am sure you can think of at least one crazy co-dependent parent that won’t let their kids grow up. They are always bailing them out, saying that they “need” them, doing everything for them, even bribing (or just plain guilt tripping) them into staying at home well past the necessary age.

If you asked that parent if they wanted all their child’s dreams to come true of course they would say yes. What parent wouldn’t? That would just be crazy. But think about it. If they REALLY did, why wouldn’t they be pushing them toward those dreams instead of holding them back from them? It’s because in the dream of college graduate, financially independent, getting married, starting your own family, etc… there is no vision of your parents still being your best friends, your everyday contact, and your go to for everything. They will be all but replaced in most of the roles, and the role they have will change dramatically. How freaking terrifying is that!?!?

For those of you who aren’t having my first example because I don’t have children, that’s okay, I have three more for you :0)

2) Friends Who Hate On Positive Life Changes:
I just let out a big sigh because this one is so prevalent I don’t even know where to start. Luckily it should be the most straightforward. Take a look at what you are doing with your friends now. How have you spent the last few outings together? Did you eat crap, maybe drink too much, rack up the credit cards, sit around and gossip? I highly doubt you sat around knitting sweaters for orphaned kittens 100% of the time, or some other completely benevolent activity.

So when you show up and are like hey I’m going on a diet, or I’m quitting drinking, or hey it’s really time to buckle down and get my finances straight…how do you expect them to react? We say that if they cared about us they would support us, and we are confused that they aren’t happier for us. If you remove yourself from the center of the universe for a second, you might notice the panic all over them. They just saw the picture that you have for your life, and they don’t fit anywhere in there. You completely changed the rules, and blame them for not wanting to still play the game.

You say they are holding you back, and honestly they probably are, but it’s not because they don’t care, it’s because they can see the repercussions on them for your changes, and they are scared. You’ve essentially given them an ultimatum with your actions, get on board or we’re over.

3) My Fiancé Going to Europe:
For those of you who were around last May – July, you remember the huge sh*tshow that was my life when Snow went to Europe for 6 weeks without me. I think it’s safe to say I didn’t handle that very well. What you didn’t see of course was the conversations that happened from the day he got the idea to the day he left. I remember he essentially just told me he was going. He tends to think out loud, so that was his version of asking what I thought. It did not feel that way at all. I remember getting flushed, and nauseous and had the most terrible sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It was terrible. There were a lot of discussions, if I remember correctly we broke up shortly thereafter for a little while. My timeline might be off on that one.

I was a MESS the month before he left. I drank a lot, like old school college drinking. Clearly had some stuff I didn’t want to face. For all intents and purposes him going made a ton of sense, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and incredible cost, and it would get him out of school faster. Logically there was no downside.

The night before he left it all finally hit me, I didn’t think he’d come back. We were lying in bed and I finally made myself spit it out. I think I almost threw up on him. I asked him, “What if you meet your soul mate over there, what if it changes you, what if you come back and the person you are then doesn’t love me anymore?”

Turned out I didn’t really want him to stay, and not have the experience; I just didn’t feel secure in my spot in his dream. Once I said it, and he wonderfully assured me I was safe, it was so much easier to let him go. Easier … not easy

Okay…are you still awake? I have one more if you still aren’t convinced.

4) Spouses that Get Jealous or Resentful of Your New Goals:

Okay ladies, let’s talk. This one is HUGE for so many of my clients and coaches. Women start to get on a fitness journey and the men in their lives freak out. They sabotage, poke-fun, mock and do pretty much everything except support the changes. This is very similar to the friendship changes I mentioned above. Once again, you changed the rules, and blame them for not wanting to still play the game with you.

The major difference here is they actually get jealous when you start to reach your goals. I have literally seen dozens of post transformation divorces. On the surface it makes no sense, you are thinking “What they hell, don’t they want a hot wife?” and wondering what is going on. You are finally feeling confident, sexy and young again, and they are pissed off. You sit there and wonder how someone who claims to love you more than anyone on the planet doesn’t want you to have everything you’ve dreamed of. There is tension, doubt and sadness around something that is supposed to be so positive.

They already know the current version of them isn’t good enough for the new version of you, and they are terrified you are going to figure it out. They get defensive and resentful that this new thing is taking you away from them and it is a horrible slap in the face of reality to look at all their short comings. By creating a new life, you are telling them they also have to change, whether you mean to or not. Let’s face it, they are probably not ready, and don’t intend to be forced into it. The thing is, they might never be.

Mind you, this isn’t the case always. A few of us will get lucky, and have men that will step up. That also want more, that want to grow and change, along with you. They will join the journey and you both get to become the people you want to be. I only discuss it because of how common place it is in my world.

I don’t really have a great way to wrap this one up, as I don’t have a solution for you all. The realization that the people in your life hold you back out of their own fear is good to have, but it isn’t something you can really change. The only thing you can control is you.

Should you be more patient with the people in your life when you make a huge change? Of course you should. Just don’t let them derail you. Understand where they are coming from but don’t put their fears ahead of your passions. Make sure they feel secure in your relationship by talking about this kind of stuff, even if they brush it off and act like it’s weird. Try and look for things for you can to together that don’t take away from your dreams, but include everyone. Understand also, that you will lose some people in your life has you grow and change, you have to, there is really no other way. Don’t worry though, the universe will provide you with new people to connect with through every step of it. Try to get closest with the other people around you that dream big, and are committed to growth, so you don’t have to continually outgrow people, and that you are not held back.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Also, here is a song that I love from Pink that just seemed like a fun way to end this post since I had no clear conclusion. Enjoy! :0)

I was on Facebook the other day, shocking I know, I promise the post will get more insightful than that. Anyway, I was on Facebook the other day and one of my challengers mentioned she was watching a video of me doing an interview when I was heavier. I of course immediately thought she was talking about the interview I did last January on a plane with the CEO of Beachbody. I was heavier, by about 30 or so lbs, it just made sense.

She insisted that wasn’t the video and I went searching for it on YouTube. I found this video I did from 2009 at my old job as Digital Marketing Consultant:

I watched the video with a bit of awe. It was odd to watch myself back then. I was at my heaviest in 2009, I guess around 260-70 lbs somewhere. The thing is I had a great job, I was president of my business fraternity, I had an excellent GPA, I was recently married and even at that weight, I was still pretty. On paper, my life was fantastic, I just had a weight problem that didn’t seem to be stopping me from too much, you know as long as no one checked my bank accounts It would have never occurred to me what I was actually missing.

When I watch the video you can see things that just weren’t apparent back then. I was hiding. I was clearly afraid, uncomfortable, unsure, and was in no position to lead anyone anywhere.

Today I sit at my computer typing this to you today at 168 pounds. The thing is, the changes that REALLY happened in my life you can NEVER see on a scale. I mean does it really matter how much weight I’ve lost when you think about everything I’ve DONE in last 3 years since this video? If you think about the person I slowly uncovered, not with every pound lost, but with every experience gained?

I’ve left that career and that marriage. I’ve graduated college, won multiple awards from that business fraternity for alumni accomplishments, I’ve paid off well over $20,000 in debt, I’ve finished P90X on the first try without a single missed day (only 2% of people actually finish it), I’ve built team of hundreds of coaches, I have thousands of clients, and I’m engaged to be married, for real this time I have real connection with people and a love for the world I live in. I know who I am, what I want, and I can see how to get there. I am incredibly comfortable in my own skin, and confident in almost any situation. I am happy almost every single day. I have built a life most people can only dream of.

I’ve also cried, omg I’ve cried. I’ve wanted to quit. I’ve faced a LOT of fears. I’ve done so much personal development I am pretty sure I am on a first name basis with Daren Hardy and Chalene Johnson LOL. I have been frustrated and filled to the brim with self-doubt. I’ve felt like I wasn’t good enough and I’ve let my thoughts about my past hold me back from some aspects of my future. I’ve been so afraid that I’ve been paralyzed or thrown up. I’ve stayed up all night and I’ve cried myself to sleep. I’ve been overwhelmed and confused. I have cussed, oh how I’ve cussed, at my TV, at my body, at my poor coaches LOL. I’ve spent a lot of days un-showered, I’ve felt hopeless, and I’ve lost sight of my vision now and again. I’ve binged, and I’ve drank too much, and I’ve hurt some feelings along the way. I’ve lost some coaches not knowing what I am doing, I’ve given some terrible advice. I’ve lost some friends, and some family, and for every one gone, I’ve gained 10 new ones. For every night I didn’t sleep, I slept like a rock from exhaustion 6 others. I’ve had set backs and self-sabotage along with a lot of therapist appointments and loud music just to hold it together. Nothing I’ve accomplished was easy, hell I think I like to take the hard way on purpose or something.

I’m crying right now because I the best part of all of this was that with each of these moments I came back a little bit stronger, I learned a lesson, I learned about myself, and I learned about the world. You can feel it every time you get a little better and you love yourself a little bit more. I’ve gotten to shape my own destiny and move toward a future that I couldn’t have possibly imagined. The biggest lesson in all of this for me is, I never in a million years would have been able to dream up THIS LIFE. This incredible life that I have, where I wake up to every day knowing I get to create an adventure, where the possibilities are limitless and the world is filled with love. I was so afraid, and I didn’t even know from what. Was simply the unknown? Possibly. But I do look at that girl in the video and and I just want to ask her “What the hell are you hiding from???” take her hand and tell her “There is a beautiful world out here, come live in it”. I can’t tell her, but I can tell YOU.

This is a JOURNEY not a destination. I’ve said it before (see article about cookie dough ) and I’m going to keep screaming it from the rooftops … or my computer at least. I couldn’t have had any idea this was the person I was going to end up, but I was able to see just a little bit beyond where I was that day. Every time you pass the person who you thought you might be some day, and become even greater, it changes you forever. Please, please, please celebrate your non-scale victories in your life and revel in the beauty you already have, in the strength you gain each day, in ever emotion you experience You have no idea how that moment may be shaping your whole world, as well as the worlds of so many others.

If no one has ever said this to you before, hear it from me now. I BELIEVE IN YOU and I know in my soul YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GREATNESS.

I am writing this today because I need everyone to calm the hell down with all the stress and worry. It’s a waste of time and it’s taking away from the life you should be living NOW. From my clients and coaches, to friends and family, the world we live in is obsessed with worrying. We worry about money and we worry about counting every calorie and we worry about following a schedule and oh man do we worry about what people think and how we look and a whole lot of other crap. YOU ARE MISSING YOUR LIFE and it’s time to STOP.

Here is the deal. Worry and stress is the most self-centered act of all time. We are INSANE to think we really have that much power. 7 billion people on this planet and we think we really need to be in charge of that much stuff for it not to fall apart? Pretty sure everything would me more than fine if we were gone tomorrow. Now don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in creating and shaping your own future, I mean really the name of this blog is Creating a Destiny. I 100% believe in creating a vision, having direction, dreaming really really big, and then working toward it. I believe you can choose to live for a purpose and do good work while you are here.

What I cannot get behind is all of the “what if I can’t” and “but what about all these reasons why it won’t work” and all the other completely useless questions and self-doubt. The worst possible way this shows up is for you to be sitting in a situation you SHOULD BE ENJOYING but instead you are thinking about what needs to get done or what you need to handle. Don’t you realize, you don’t have that much control? The universe is vast, and there are forces at work far greater than you and I. For us to really believe that we have control over half the things we worry about is really giving us too much credit. I am sure that the child in front of you asking to play on the floor is what you should be thinking about, not how you are going to pay the electric bill or if you’ll make that scale weigh in next week.

All you can do is get a big dream, start working toward it, and be ready to flexible and plan on nothing going according to plan. Commit yourself to growth and learning and enjoy the ride. The dream you are working toward may very well just lead you to a new dream, or it may turn out that it’s not even really the dream that you are after, but simply the journey.

For those of you who are also in the coaching business, or any other at home direct sales business, I would bet you anything that you spend more time WORRYING about the things you have to get done, thinking over your to-do list, stressing about all the things you don’t know, than simply WORKING your business. If you could get over yourself and how much YOU know and just look around at all the humans you come in contact with every day that need a friend, need your product, or just need love, I bet you be a heck of a lot more successful and fulfilled How many of you spend more time worrying about your children than stopping to really engage and listen to them? How many of us are more concerned with deadlines and paychecks then people and purpose? You are fully equipped to be the person you want to be, stop freaking out about it.

Have a little faith that things work out, live your life in a way that is genuine, and don’t be afraid to take some risks. I can guarantee you will have more LIFE in your years and YEARS in your life if you start embracing the moment in front of you, living a purpose driven life, and working toward a vision for your time on this earth without worrying about the details. So … now that you know, you get to relax, it’s time to get over yourself

I was running late for my airbrushing appointment with Cassie at iTAN La Mesa today (yeah blatant plug, no I’m not getting paid lol, I just REALLY love her and that salon.) and I parked sort of frantically.

I looked at the cars next to me and realized I parked crazy crooked. Like seriously I think I parked better than that the time I failed my drivers licence test at 16!

I backed up and corrected my parking. Looked around, still crooked. What the heck? Okay one more time, this time kinda hitting the little curb that lets you know you’re at the end of the spot.

Looked around, and yes you guessed it, still crooked. Well screw it, I thought, I’m gonna be late and this girl needs to get her tan on so she can get back to work. I was sure people would get over it.

I got out of the car and as I set the alarm I looked and it was parked PERFECTLY. I mean just beautifully. Equidistant from both white lines, truck bed not sticking out into the parking lot, best parking job of the year. However BOTH other cars were totally crooked.

Just made me stop and think…don’t compare yourself to others, they may steer you the wrong way! Hahaha no pun intended. You never know when maybe it’s you that actually has it all figured out afterall and you might end up wasting your time correcting something that is already perfect. Happy Thursday

Why Network Marketing: Is Beachbody Coaching a Scam?

When I start to explain what it is that I do on the business side of coaching I often get the same questions over and over. My favorite one of all is “Oh … that one of those multi-level marketing things. Is that like a pyramid scheme?” This is my FAVORITE question, because it shows me exactly who I’m talking to.

I’m not talking to an entrepreneur, or a naturally business minded and growth driven person. I’m talking to someone who has been taken advantage of in their life, is afraid of big risks, and who doesn’t believe enough in themselves. I’m talking to someone who needs to be educated and needs to learn how to dream again, and I GET to be the person to help them with that <3

When people ask me “if that is a network marketing thing” I reply with a resounding “YES, where the HECK else would I be!?!?!” Make my own hours; set my own pay, no limit to my growth … all with almost no investment, full training and resources, and corporate doing my marketing for me! It’s the perfect balance of security and risk, or creativity and structure, of growth and comfort. I can’t imagine a better way to do business.

I’d like to discuss the Top 10 Reasons why MLM programs are the best way to start and run businesses:

1. No Risk
There is a certain amount of inherited risk involved when you become an entrepreneur.

We are confronted with the potential of losing money, wasting our time, not being profitable, and more. In a traditional business, the startup cost associated with opening that business is what holds many people creating their own destiny.

Most people naturally do not like risk and try to avoid it by all means. We’ll take the “guaranteed bet” and stay within “our safe zone. The advantage of starting an MLM Program is that there is a small risk to get started. With as little as $39.95, it is possible to get started with my company, and many others only a few hundred, and you’re able to start marketing products that you consume already. The amount of financial commitment is almost insignificant compared to that of traditional business. You’d spend that on fast food or a night at the bar for your friend’s birthday, and have nothing to show for it.

This is a far cry from the tens of thousands of dollars you would need to start a traditional business, not to mention the Beachbody coaching opportunity comes with a money back guarantee!

2. Existing Demand

If you pick the right company, you will already have people wanting the products you are representing. There are a myriad of network marketing companies that promote very good products. Think about these things as it applies to Beachbody:

Would I still consume these products/services if there were no opportunity to market them?

Do these products bring any benefits to a consumer besides the opportunity to make money?

Would I bring “value” to my customers if they consume these products?

I know for myself I answered a resounding YES to each one, it is certainly the right company for me!

Beachbody spends millions of dollars on advertising so the brand awareness already exists. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, or invent a product, or get a bunch of licenses and credibility to help the people around you.

3. Residual Income

I am sure that you pay your bills every month. Many of them may even be on automatic debit. From rent, electricity, groceries and gas to cell phones, tanning and Netflix. You are a reoccurring customer for these companies. These are the types of services that for the most part provide an ongoing stream of residual income for them.

The greatest advantage of an MLM Program is that it gives you an opportunity to enjoy residual income just like those companies do. When the initial effort of getting a new customer is completed, you can enjoy the residual part of that business relationship if you remain engaged and foster quality relationships.

When you work a “9-5 job” you trade your hours directly for that hourly pay, that hour only. You don’t get paid for that hour month after month, in a business that can live on after you. You won’t be leaving the money you earned Monday morning to your kids when you are still getting paid on it after you are gone!

You are going to be working for the next decade anyway, what if you were working and it was BUILDING SOMETHING!?!?

4. Income Potential:

There is no cap on how much money you can generate. In my corporate jobs, my big limitation was that regardless how hard I worked for these companies; my income was tied to the pay grade for that position, or at the whim of budget cuts. Even as a very well paid commission employee, I never knew when the next restructure was coming down from corporate, that would cut my pay in half for the same amount of work!

In an MLM Program, that’s not the case. It is up to you to decide how much you want to earn. An MLM company doesn’t hold you back in the same way the corporate environment does. There is no wasting your potential and drive.

Of course the skills are key. You have to learn, but once you trained yourself to become a quality network marketer, you can market anything you choose and generate that income you seek. you make an income based on your stamina, dedication, and your willingness to help others!

5. No Employees:

This is a clear advantage over traditional businesses. An network marketing program is a business of people independently working together toward a common goal.

This industry gives you the added benefit of being in business without employee concerns, by having a network of independent business owners working together towards a common goal. You’ll never have to worry about making payroll, sending out w2’s, complying with labor laws, tracking time sheets, and all the other bureaucracy of traditional business.

Let’s also point out, you get to CHOOSE your co-workers! It’s your team, if you don’t like them, don’t sign them.

6. No Inventory:

Traditionally Network Marketing companies would have distributors stack up on inventory. This concept alone has given the industry a bad rap for years.

However, modern companies, like Beachbody, do capitalize on the technology and tools we have in place such as:

· Internet Telephony
· The Internet
· Drop Shipping Ability
· Consumer Leads
· Conference Lines
· Web Conference
· High Speed Internet Access

Not having to inventory products will make your business more agile to any market condition and all the other technology will allow you to work your business from home, with people from all over the world.

7. Low Operating Costs:
The network marketing model makes possible to run a business at low costs compared to any other business model. No overhead, no admin costs, few marketing costs, and most companies (like Beachbody) will not require a minimum spend from you each month.

This is where your upline’s support should come in. A good upline mentor should allow you to piggyback on his or her expertise, knowledge, leads, and more to help you generate the funds to pay off your initial investment quickly. The more you plug in to good training and engage in your team, the lower your operating costs will be.

8. Flexibility:

When you make your own schedule, set your own hours, and strive to your own goals, you are allowed a ton of flexibility. If you are at a corporate job where they can demand overtime, cut hours, make you join a lottery for holidays off, and the company demand decides your time commitment, you are stuck. Kids sick? Family in town? It’s your birthday? You really want to go see your grandma or finally take that honeymoon? GO! It’s YOUR business. Work at night when the kids are sleeping, take the weekend off, check your email from overseas. You can really LIVE your life and not be tied to a time clock.

9. Recession Proof:

Network marketing doesn’t ever present you with potential lay-offs, budget cuts, reduced hours, furlough days, forced retirement, and other means that corporations rely on when the economy gets bad. You are not at the mercy of someone else’s decisions up top.

If times get tough, you just get tougher! I personally managed to replace an excellent income at a high level marketing firm DURING a recession. Will you have to talk to more people? Of course, but at least that is in your control!

10. The Freedom:

With all of the technology today, we can work from anywhere. Now this is true for many businesses of course, it is just very beneficial to those in our industry.

As long as you have access to the Internet, you can take your computer, your phone, and continue doing business while you are on the road, on vacation, or visiting relatives whether that be in another city or another country!

Imagine having a productive business in network marketing providing you with a lifestyle that you believe is only for the “rich and famous”. When all the pieces are in place, the life of a marketer can be incredibly rewarding. It takes more work than just being born with a silver spoon in your mouth of course, but you can have that life too.

That’s the dream every new coach chases but it is only attainable when there is a clear understanding of how to get there and when your skills are sharp so you must plug into the training and be willing to learn learn learn!

It is not just the money, but the fulfillment of a lifestyle that makes an MLM network marketing program the best business to get in and your skills is what make it happen, period!

I worked in the corporate world for 15 years before I ventured out on my own. I NEVER considered myself an entrepreneur, I would never take big risks, and I was always skeptical. I thought that you get a “good job” that was “stable” and you got a 401k and 2 kids a cat and a dog and used your credit cards for emergencies and hoped to buy a nice house someday. I found a passion for a set of products and a company culture and was able to plug into a structure that took the risk out of my way, and made room for all the dreams I could conjure up.

I could go on for probably 100 more reasons why I think this is the best way to do business, but I’ll sum it up like this:

Pyramid and Ponzi schemes are scams where people buy into a plan to make money, and the people above them make money on them joining, regardless of what they do. Everyone hopes and wishes their turn at the top will come, but no one has to DO ANY WORK for it, just convince people with empty promises. There are no products, no real people, no passion and no backing. They exist and they are illegal. In those programs only one person wins.

Multi-level marking companies are an opportunity where people can buy into a plan to build their own company, where they learn, train, teach, sell and coach people through real life change, physical or financial. In these programs everybody wins. They are fuelled by dreams, passion and big long term vision. I am incredibly proud of what I do, and I would love to have you on my team if this hit your heart in someway. I hope this has helped you realize it’s okay to dream just a little bit bigger, hell why not a lot bigger

Yep, you read that right. I’m finally taking on Insanity. I have been very vocal about how much I hate that program and how much I hate to work that hard and how boring it is blah blah blah …

I was sitting at the beautiful resort where Beachbody held it’s annual Success Club Leadership Retreat and I did an exercise in which we
wrote down all the things we look for in a leader. We had spots for 10, but of course I went over.

Here is my list:

Passionate

Dedicated

Big Vision

Outgoing

Teachable

Driven

Self Motivated

Positive

Like-able

Confident

Reliable

Creative

Consistent

Then I thought okay what about specifically in Beachbody

In LOVE with Beachbody

Physically Fit

First we were asked to rate our top coaches in each of those areas. Then we were asked to rate ourselves. I was feeling pretty good, I had all these, I was like alright I got this. Until I got to “consistent” and “physically fit”. When I HONESTLY reviewed myself, I knew I was failing my team.

I have let my team be comfortable, because I am comfortable. I am able to just “get by” and maintain because I’ve had my “big transformation” already. I get a new program and get a little excited and then take time off. It’s very easy. Easy does NOT MAKE US BETTER.

I am scared of Insanity, I am scared I will quit, and it’s too much on my body, I can’t get “that fit”. I am MORE afraid of my team not finishing their transformations, of them settling and being okay with “good enough” and not reaching for 110%. I can’t lead them if I keep avoiding this workout.

It is time for me to step it up and I have a challenge for YOU: What program in the Beachbody catalog are you afraid of? DO IT.

Can’t get the steps of TurboFire? Keep quitting Brazil Butt Lift? Dust collecting on your P90X? Still haven’t finished the 3rd month of Les Mills Pump? Did you buy Insanity and never open? Heck, just been wanting to try crossfit but were afraid you couldn’t hang? If you are waiting for a sign to get started, THIS IS IT. DO THIS WITH ME. I challenge you to take this one on, believe you can do it, show your teams, your family, your friend and me, that you can conquer this.

“The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It’s your mind you have to convince.” ~Vince Lombardi

Please comment or contact me to tell me what you are committing to, how it is going to push you and when you are starting! I start the full 60 days on 10.8.12 and will be prepping up until then.I can’t wait to hear which one you are doing and when!!!

I’m too fat, I’m too poor, I’m not educated, I’m a fraud, I don’t fit in, and frankly I’m just not good enough … these are a few of the childhood insecurities that have resurfaced for me over the past month or so.

Most of you know I went to Les Mills BODYPUMP training in August. That was AMAZING. I faced some fears about being in the training and not already being an instructor, not being in shape enough to make the cut, having limited experience working out to Pump outside my living room etc. I did my best, never quit and although there were a few emotional moments, I did more than I ever thought I could. I left that weekend with an incredible sense of accomplishment.

I immediately went on vacation the day after with my family. Oddly enough this is a vacation I take every year that brings up the same insecurities from my childhood that I would expect the BODYPUMP training to bring up. Not being good enough, everyone having something to say about my life and how I’m living it wrong, constantly on the defense. I made the conscious decision to “not rock the boat” on vacation and put my Paleo eating preferences aside. I figured no big deal, it’s 10 days, I’ll be fine. I was trying to avoid judgment and having to defend myself. In the end there were still conversations had about my eating choices that were less than favorable. I didn’t really avoid anything, except the scale and mirror when I got back home!

Since then two separate events happened that I had an emotional reaction to, and this past weekend the meanings all came together for me.

First, I very generous and awesome coach was willing to take me as their guest to the yearly Beachbody Success Club Leadership Conference this year, as I didn’t rank advance in time to go on my own merits. Of course that bothered me a lot but I was down to do whatever I had to do in order to get there so guest it was! As it got closer I was getting depressed, with my best jeans a little too tight, my face a bit broken out, and my normal end of summer tan non-existent. I heard there was a themed party of some kind on Saturday night; All I could think of was that I’m behind, if I had qualified myself I would have known about this and now I’m not going to have time to get a costume. I’m not going to fit in and look as good as all the “skinny girls” because I don’t have time to lose 10 pounds, get a tan and get an awesome costume. What was I thinking going to this event, I don’t belong there, if I was good enough I would have qualified to go on my own. Yep 31 years old and THAT’s where my mind went. Can we all join me in a collective “WTF?!”

Okay, second situation. I went to lunch. Seems like a normal thing to do, shouldn’t be too stressful right? Wrong. At one point during the lunch I found myself being so critical of myself that I think I actually gave myself a headache

I realized I was sitting at table in a place that honestly already makes me uncomfortable (LOL the whole city I was in is a nice reminder of how much money I don’t have ), and I was there with women who are essentially “everything I’m not”. A millionaire and a personal trainer. Oh jeeze, could I BE any more out of my element??? I found myself anxious about what to order, feeling like every way I was sitting made me feel fat, and really noticing how badly my nails needed a fill. AS IF ANYONE ACTUALLY CARED!!!

The coach I was with had just offered to let me stay in her hotel and give me a free ticket to an event I was desperately trying to go to. All morning while deciding if I should accept this gift, all I could think was 1) what are you bringing to this relationship that you deserve this and 2) omg however will you hold up the facade of being worthy for an entire 3 day weekend.

I have always been open about my downfalls in my fitness journey, but since I’ve been back from vacation, this is the first time that I feel like I’m not “walking the walk” as a coach, and it hits me really deep. I feel like a fraud, like I’m not my genuine self, I feel like I’m back in high school worrying what other people think. All of a sudden I’m in 4th grade again and my hair is a mess, my clothes are old, I’m overweight and Ryan would rather go out with Cheryl because she has boobs already and the cooler I.D. bracelet. (fast forward to my breast implants and obsession with Tiffany’s bracelets maybe?) This is SO not my personality anymore, I’m not that girl, why is she still in there?

When it all hit me on Sunday that I felt this way and what was really going on inside, I did what makes the most sense. I called my Mom I talked through all of this and she said two things that made me blow my own mind:

1) Why would anyone not like you?

My first thoughts: Hmmm because I’m too fat, not smart enough, don’t have enough money … duh see the title of the post.

2) These people are obviously your friends for a reason.

My First Thoughts: For the life of me I cannot figure out why.

I have spent a long time making my little pond very full of fish and enjoying being big in it. I push myself, I grow, I learn new things, I am the queen of making myself uncomfortable…in MY pond. I’m now on the cusp of transitioning into Elite Coach land and I’m freaking TERRIFIED (I really wanted to use a stronger word there). I don’t feel like I’m good enough, I don’t feel like I deserve it. I am worried that all the other kids are going to make fun of me. It’s a story I’ve told myself for years and then I make choices and complete actions that make the story true. Yep it’s ALL STILL there.

I told you ALL of that to tell you this: I’m going anyway.

Yep that was a lot of build up just to tell you that, I know. The one thing I always tell my challengers and coaches; is it’s okay to be afraid, fear is natural, but it’s not okay to let it paralyze you. THE OLD ME DID THAT. I missed out on so much life because of fear and that girl doesn’t live here anymore. Thanks to Benchmark Courses, I’ve learned that these are stories I tell myself and that they aren’t true. I’ve learned that my destiny is in my own control and that I will not let life happen to me.

I’m going to the leadership conference because I want to be a leader, because I have a team and a SoCal region to lead. I am a good enough person that someone saw value in me to take me as their guest and I can appreciate that, show up, and be the best version of ME. Maybe I’m not “there” yet, but I am a hell of a lot closer than I was last year at this time. It’s about the journey on the way to the person I am going to be and it is my responsibility to face those fears. I’m not facing them just for me, or my team, or the people who will read this post, but also for my future children. I can’t ever let them believe it’s okay to so afraid of their dreams that they don’t get them.

I’m also going to the event I was invited to the following weekend. I’m going to stay in that hotel, and I’m going to fight the voices in my head and go enjoy the experience. I am going to most likely meet some AMAZING people, learn a ton of incredible information, grow from the experience and I would bet pretty much anything … I’ll be just fine

I wanted to readdress the two statements from above:

1) Why would anyone not like you?

I’m not really sure, maybe they are haters, or miserable with something in their own life, possibly jealous, have no sense of humor or just hate fun

2) These people are obviously your friends for a reason.

Yeah because I’m pretty awesome that’s why. I’m loyal, funny, caring, dedicated, always willing to help, make things fun, recognize the beauty in all people, I can rock a pair of heels and a dress like few can, sexy even when I’m not trying. I am driven, dependable, and 100% worthy. I make people’s lives better by being in them. Do I have room for improvement? Yes of course, but everyone does!

The moral of this whole story is that we all have fears, and limiting beliefs about yourself, that could hold us back. The CHOICE to let them is up to you. This was not an easy post for me to write, but as my mom pointed out, some good can come out of this experience if I use it to help someone. I hope it helps YOU! May your dreams always be bigger than your fears <3

My favorites are the cage free egg based Lemonaise or Grapeseed Vegenaise)

1 Tbsp dry Mustard

¼ cup Cashews (chopped)

1 tsp of each dried: marjoram, oregano, rosemary, parsley

1 cup Red Grapes (halved)

2 Tbsp Lemon Juice (one for water, one for mixture)

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Himalayan Salt and Pepper (to Taste)

3 tablespoons Red Onions (finely chopped)

Fill a medium sized pot with water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice (enough to cover the chicken) and bring to a boil. Simmer chicken for 3 minutes, then turn off the heat and cover the pot. You want to let the chicken sit (steeping) for about 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the middle (165°). Once cooked, remove from water and let cool, about 20 minutes. (this can be done in advance)

In another bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the halved grapes.

Cut the chicken into ½ inch cubes and fold it into the mayo mixture with a rubber spatula. Add in grapes last, also folding in carefully. Let sit for 15 minutes, up to overnight, to really let the flavors mix well.

I personally eat it out of the bowl with a fork LOL, but I am sure it is fabulous in a civilized manner as well
